Danielle LeRay in a role reversal
Ten years ago Danielle Leray was representing Australia as a gymnast at the 1999 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Osaka Japan.
Today she is in Mie Japan at the 2009 World Championships in the role as Coach for the Australian Team.
In 1999 Danielle was a member of the Australian Team along with Leigh Marning, Bree Robertson and Claire Mitchell. Danielle was the highest ranked Australian in the All Around competition with a ranking of 59/144. This week Danielle is hoping that Naazmi Johnston, Chloe Hayes, Janine Murray and Danielle Prince will achieve their personal best at the 2009 World Championships.
Today (Monday) is the qualification round for rope and hoop with the ball and ribbon competition on Wednesday. Naazmi Johnston will compete all 4 apparatus; Chloe hoop, ball and ribbon; Janine Murray rope hoop and ribbon and Danielle Prince rope and ball.
