The Australian Double-Mini Team completed a 2 day intensive National Training Camp at the Castle Hill RSL over the weekend in preparation for the 2009 World Trampoline Championships being held in St Petersburg from the 11-14 November.
The training camp was run by Assistant National Coach Jarrod Heriot and FIG Brevet Judge, Belinda Cox. Both the Australian men's and women's team were in attendance at this camp, including 5 time World Championship athlete, Damian Ryan; and first time National representatives, Jack Penny, Andrew Ronacher, Hayley Tagell, Kelsie Henry, and Christine Hall.
The training camp included both Individual Trampoline and Double-Mini specific training, as well as cross training activities including pilates, water aerobics, water recovery & strength and conditioning sessions.
Although unable to attend the training camp due to illness, the National DMT Coach, Kerry Smyth believes the Australian DMT Team has prepared well for the upcoming World Championships. The team departs for Russia on the 5th November.
