TRP Indo Pacs Day 1 Success

Australian Trampoline team has great success on Day 1 with an 11 medal hall.

 

 

 

 

Day 1 at the Indo Pacific Championships in Japan saw an extremely successful day for the Australian team, with a total of 11 medals.

Ty Swadling was crowned the Indo Pacific Champion after winning the gold medal in the Senior International men's trampoline event. Swadling performed a near flawless routine with superior difficulty in the final round to take the gold, with team mate, Blake Gaudry winning the silver. In the women's event, Aslin Styles performed a steady routine with high difficulty to claim the bronze medal.

In the age divisions, Will Morris increased his score from the preliminary round to finish in 2nd place in the 17+ mens individual trampoline.

Australian gymnasts dominated the dmt events today, with Curtis Booth convincingly winning the gold medal in the under 15 mens event, with Aidan Collins finishing in 3rd position. In the womens under 15 dmt, Olivia Morris narrowly edged out team mate, Braida Thomas to finish in 2nd  & 3rd repectively.

In the under 17 synchronized event, Matthew Henry and Luke Seal won the silver medal in the mens event, while Eva Kierth and Natalie Skinner took out the bronze in the womens division.

Youngest member of the Australian team, Bronte Boyle's tumbled into 2nd place in the final of the under 11 womens tumbling competition.

Competition continues today with the Senior International double mini competition. The Australian dmt team in Kakegawa includes defending Indo Pacific Champions Kelsie Henry and Jack Penny.
