The standard of performance by the 6 Commonwealth Games Shadow Squad gymnasts was outstanding with all gymnasts aiming for selection to represent Australia at the 2010 FIG RG World Championships in Russia in September followed by the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi in October.

 

Naazmi Johnston (NSW) once again set the standard by performing all 4 apparatus routines to near perfection and winning the gold medal. Janine Murray (WA) was a worthy winner of the silver medal with a solid performance in all 4 routines. Danielle Prince (QLD) impressed the judges with her improved performances in the 4 apparatus to closely beat Enid Sung (NSW) and win the bronze medal.

 

The RG National Championships conclude on Sunday with the Senior and Junior International Apparatus Finals and the Sun-Junior Group All Around.
